About Me

A little something about me...

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am currently seeing clients in Billings and provide a variety of services including therapy for individuals, couples, children and families as well as skill development in communication, coping, and establishing/maintaining boundaries.

I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California where I worked with children, teens and adults from various contexts in life.

I believe we all have an innate need to be in relationship. It is the very foundation of what it is to be human. We need to experience love, reciprocity and fulfillment. A healthy relationship considers the needs of the other, is focused on patience and kindness, maintains honesty and trustworthiness and is nurturing. A healthy relationship is an ever-growing pursuit of love, acceptance, forgiveness, responsibility, reliability, connection, intimacy and faithfulness. It does not welcome jealousy, arrogance, judgment, selfishness, a temper or a record of wrongdoing. It always protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres.

From 2010 to 2013 I did pro bono work at Faith Chapel, in the Pastoral Care department in Billings, providing a variety of services including assessments, meeting with individuals and families and assisted in lay counselor training.

I integrate my knowledge as a mental health practitioner and my experience as a teacher and mentor to create a safe and supportive environment for therapy. I am a partner at Northwest Counseling Center, LLC, and work alongside several, seasoned therapists. I also lead the Northwest Counseling Center’s community based, Men’s Anger Management program, “Living Without Violence for Men” as well as co-facilitate the same program at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility in Billings. I run process and support groups for teens and adults and currently am developing workshop seminars for married couples, teens with sexual purity issues, and individuals with spiritual struggles or distress.

Services I provide:

• Therapy for individuals, couples, children, and families.
• Psychoeducation courses for social and emotional development
• Spiritual direction
• Singleness and Sexuality
• Premarital counseling
• Anger Management
• Adolescent sex addiction (Non-criminal)
• Skill development in communication, coping, and establishing/maintaining boundaries.
